A few useful details
Compare CSV/TSV exports by data row position or by an exact, unique key column. Column order is ignored. Cell whitespace and case rules are optional. The report includes added and removed columns; XLSX is not supported.
Up to 1 MB, 10,000 data rows and 100 columns per CSV. The screen shows up to 200 changed rows; download the complete report as JSON. File contents are not saved between visits.
When to use CSV comparison
Find changed records between two CSV or TSV exports. Match by row position or a shared unique key such as an ID. Key matching follows records when row order changes, which helps compare regular exports without treating every moved row as a new record.
Frequently asked questions
Can columns be in different orders?
Yes. Headers identify columns regardless of position. Added and removed columns appear in the report.
Why is my key rejected?
Its header must exist in both files, and its values must be non-empty and unique in each file. Keys match exactly; whitespace and case options apply to compared cells, not key matching.
Does the screen show every change?
The preview shows up to 200 changed rows and shortens long cell text. Download the full JSON report. Inputs allow 1 MB, 10,000 rows and 100 columns per file. XLSX is not supported.
