Image resize & crop
Set pixel dimensions, keep proportions, and crop your image.
How it works
- Choose a still JPG, PNG, or WebP image from your device.
- Choose your settings, then preview or process it.
- Review the result and download your image.
A few useful details
PNG and WebP can preserve transparency. JPG uses your chosen background. EXIF metadata is not retained; animated images, SVG, GIF, and HEIC are not supported. Compression may not reach your target or reduce an already optimised image. Output quality and colour can vary by browser.
Images: up to 15 MB, 8,000 pixels per side and 12 megapixels total. One image per job; current browser required. File contents are not saved between visits.
When to use Image resize & crop
Set pixel dimensions or crop a rectangle before exporting an image. Lock the aspect ratio to preserve proportions. Coordinate-based cropping helps create a consistent avatar, trim a screenshot or fit a specific upload requirement.
Frequently asked questions
Does enlarging make the image sharper?
No. Browser resampling adds pixels but does not recover missing detail or provide AI enhancement.
Why does the crop fail?
X and Y must be non-negative whole numbers. Width and height must be positive whole numbers, and the rectangle must fit inside the original image.
Can I resize a transparent image?
Yes. Select PNG or WebP for transparency. JPG fills it with your chosen background. Original EXIF metadata is not retained.
